Rich & Bennett’s 12th Annual St Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl!!
Well- they did it again!! Maybe it was because the weather was great!! Maybe it was because St. Patrick’s Day actually fell on a Saturday!! Maybe it was just the fact that everyone wanted to break the record from last year!! For whatever the reason, Rich & Bennett’s 12th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl, the largest pub crawl in the world, continues to grow. Last year there were a little over 8,900 people who participated. Rich and Bennett expected to eclipse 10,000 crawlers, but they were not expecting what they got!! There were 15,144 registered pub crawlers roaming the streets of Charlotte NC on St Patrick’s Day!! That is an unbelievable number, if you consider that is a 170% increase in attendance from the year before!! It is hard to think that only 12 years ago they started with a total of 73 pub crawlers in 2001, and it wasn’t until 2007 that they surpassed 1,000 people (it was actually 2,561 that year). So here is to Rich and Bennett for creating the worlds largest pub crawl, and best roaming party of the year right here in Charlotte!
